What are the rules for bumping the MDB_API_VERSION? It looks like the last time it was bumped was for MDB tab completion, but several new things have been added to the API since then without bumping it.

   I guess the only logical rule is 'not to be decremented'. The possible impact is for third parties who need to rebuild their stuff, but I do not see why we should be concerned about that.

It seems like this should probably be named MDB_NICENUM_BUFLEN instead.
